This cake is made to look like a scrap book page. I got some of my baby shower cake ideas from this site. It includes a little hat and booties. The foot print I painted the side of my hand with black fast food coloring and pressed it onto the cake. (Wait until the icing on the cake is not sticky before doing this process). All this cake is decorated with Butter Cream Icing.

This is a 9x13x2 sheet pan. I traced out a dress design and cut it out with a small carving knife. There are three real buttons and a small bow placed just under the last button. The cake is decorated with butter cream icing.
Thank you for this fantastic site. I got endless baby shower cake ideas from here.

This is a three stacked (6, 9 and 12 inch pans)fondant covered cake decorated with fondant baby clothes. I cut the baby clothes out and let them dry for a week before making the cake. That way the miniature clothespins stayed on without ruining the fondant. After that it was just a matter of decorating the way I wanted it.
This was very simple. For my baby shower cake ideas I used six cake mixes to make (chocolate fudge with raspberry filling).

I made this cake for my friend's daughter Regan's First Communion. I used a sheet cake pan and cut it out in the shape of a dress. I used real buttons and ribbon. The colors on the dress matched her Communion napkins.

I got my baby shower cake ideas from a baby onesie cookie cutter. I make the onesie cookies for the top of the cake and I created the clothes lines around each layer of the cake. I also put the saying "bottles and booties diapers and pins this is where the love begins." This was the saying on the shower invitations.
The three level cake was frosted using vanilla butter cream icing. I used miniature pastel clothes pins to add to the clothes line effect.

I used a 9×13 white sheet cake for my baby shower cake. I cut off small pieces at the bottom of the cake, save these pieces and place at the top for the sleeves. Glue the sleeves on with your icing and then ice all together and put on any decorations that you would like.
I used Cinnamon animal crackers for in the middle and safety pins around the outside. It was iced in a variation of butter cream icing. Any crusting icing would work so use your favorite and happy baking.
The baby shower cake ideas on this site are all fantastic. Thanks!

This cake was for my cousin's baby shower. The dress is an 11×15 sheet cake cut into a dress shape. Then frost in the colors you choose. I used real ribbon.

This cake was for my sister-in-law, who was obviously having a girl. I had a few baby shower cake ideas but decided that my theme for her shower was baby girl clothes. I had sent pink dress-shaped invitations and had plates/napkins with the clothes hanging on a clothesline.
To decorate this cake, I used cream cheese crusting buttercream icing. I tinted the icing with the Wilton color gel. To make the dresses, I just outlined them free hand and colored them with the icing. I bought mini clothespins at the craft store and added them right before the party. My sister-in-law loved the cake!

What an easy and very cute baby shower cake! Simply ice the baby cake in a solid color, and string up some scrapbook paper baby clothes on a laundry line. Make the laundry line with bamboo skewers and twine, and purchase teeny clothes pins at your local craft store. I made edible buttons with color flow icing. Very cute!

I actually used the Elmo face cake pan and flipped it over to get a smooth surface. This bib baby cake took a lot of time and creativity. I added the monogram for an extra special touch!
